The EX-Cycle

The EX-Cycle, a new play by Cassandra Hume, premiered at Manhanttan Repertory Theater's WINTERFEST 2010 on Feb. 3rd.

After a Sold-Out 1st week, the play has been extended.

“Everyone has an EX”--so everyone has advice on getting over yours....After her recent break-up, Lila realizes that almost everyone has an ‘ex’ that doesn’t go away, and they all have "EX-advice" for her. Whether its help from the doorman at the lounge, an astrologer, a so-called music therapist, or her well-meaning best friends, Lila is going to learn to let Pablo go—eventually. With Lila’s sharp, bitter, and often romanticized reflection of her own story, she’ll relive the seasons before, and show what happens after the break-up. When you'll turn to friends, strangers, salespeople, even vomiting transvestites for the EXact answers for your EXcruciating pain. Heartbreak was never so hilarious.
